On April 9, 2025, Lucas shared the following: "Also last month, my @FinancialCmte colleagues and I sent a letter to Fed Chair Powell urging him to solicit stakeholder feedback on the SLR." Lucas's call reflects an ongoing dialogue seeking expert input on supplemental leverage ratio regulations, demonstrating his active engagement in financial oversight.

Again, on April 9, 2025, Lucas emphasized fiscal responsibility with his colleagues, stating: "I’ve been reminding my colleagues this week: We need to pass our budget resolution so we can start working on important issues, like addressing the national debt and reauthorizing the Trump Tax Cuts before they expire.
