4.5% of citizens unemployed in Oklahoma County in 2021

Oklahoma County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 18,231 people out of the 790,938 living in Oklahoma County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Oklahoma County has decreased compared to the 4.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Oklahoma County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 384,755 people who had a job during that time, 5,024 were employed in the Armed Forces and 379,731 belonged to the civilian labor force.
