McClain County had unemployment rate of 3.8% in 2021

McClain County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 777 people out of the 41,258 living in McClain County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in McClain County has increased compared to the 3.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in McClain County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 19,772 people who had a job during that time, 138 were employed in the Armed Forces and 19,634 belonged to the civilian labor force.
