2021 has 4.5% of Grady County residents unemployed

Grady County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,155 people out of the 54,739 living in Grady County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Grady County has increased compared to the 4.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Grady County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 24,729 people who had a job during that time, 79 were employed in the Armed Forces and 24,650 belonged to the civilian labor force.
