3.7% of citizens unemployed in Canadian County in 2021

Canadian County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,993 people out of the 151,174 living in Canadian County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Canadian County has decreased compared to the 4.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Canadian County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 77,581 people who had a job during that time, 577 were employed in the Armed Forces and 77,004 belonged to the civilian labor force.
