Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate independence on July 4 with an action-packed day filled with family-friendly activities, live music, delicious food, and a grand finale of fireworks at Norman’s Fourth Fest! The free event will take place at Reaves Park, 2501 Jenkins Avenue, beginning at 5 p.m.
From savory delights to delectable desserts – there's something for everyone at this year’s festival, with an array of food trucks and various vendors. Attendees can enjoy the 4th on Fire Challenge at the start of the event, with community leaders battling through two levels of spicy wings and taking part in unique trivia gameplay. The stakes get hotter with every passing round, reaching heights of 2 million Scoville units!
Norman’s Fourth Fest Cornhole Tournament will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the park’s large pavilion. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, this is your chance to showcase your skills and compete with fellow enthusiasts. Live music artists will entertain the audience with electrifying tunes and good vibrations beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s lineup includes: Vinyl Stripes at 6 p.m., followed by Hook at 8 p.m.
The evening concludes with a mesmerizing fireworks show that will light up the sky beginning at 9:45 p.m. Tune into KGOU 106.3 FM to enjoy the music synced to fireworks, enhancing the spectacle and creating a truly magical experience.
