University Of Science & Arts Of Oklahoma Drovers Impress with Third-Place Finish at Allen B. Pease Intercollegiate

Men's Golf Head Coach | University Of Science & Arts Of Oklahoma

Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team competed at the Allen B. Pease Intercollegiate and earned a third-place team finish against a loaded field of tough opponents.

The tournament was competed at Rose Creek Golf Club in Edmond, Okla., and the Drovers completed with a three-round score of 912 (307, 293, 312). The course featured a 7,048-yard, par 72 layout.

Out of the 10 teams in the field, the Sooner Athletic Conference was very well represented, with three members in the top three spots. No. 7 ranked Oklahoma City University won the tournament, followed by No. 11 ranked Texas Wesleyan University in second place. USAO followed closely behind with a bronze finish as a team. 

Jax Brewer delivered a terrific performance, finishing in 8th as an individual, with a three-round score of 222 (75, 72, 75). Luca Gisler also finished in the top 15 as he concluded in 13th with a score of 227 (75, 75, 77).

Conner Cryer and Caleb Smith closed in a tie for 22nd as they carded scores of 231. Cryer had rounds of 76, 77, 78, and Smith scored 76, 70, 85.

Grant Murphey tied for 30th with a score of 234 (80, 76, 78). 

Jaeden Ellis, Luke O'Dell, and Tate Trotter finished in a tie for 42nd with scores of 240. Ellis had scores of 80, 75, 85, while O'Dell had scores of 78, 76, 86. Trotter carded scores of 84, 75, 81.

 

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return to competition on April 3-4 at the Park Spring Classic. The tournament will be played at the Deuce at the National Golf Club in Parkville, Mo.
