Tuesday afternoon, the NAIA announced the Men's Basketball All-American teams and Samkelo Cele earned a third-team selection.
Cele made an immediate impact with the Drovers this season, leading the team in scoring with 20.8 points per game, and that figure also ranked as the third highest scoring average in the SAC. While scoring at a high volume, Cele was also incredibly efficient, shooting 52.8 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from three-point range, and 79.5 percent at the free-throw line.
The impressive product out of South Africa managed to deliver 15 twenty-point performances during the season, and he scored at least 27 points on nine different occasions.
The transfer averaged 5.2 rebounds per game, along with 1.2 steals per contest.
