Sophomore outfielder Noel McGarry-Doyle hit through the cycle in game one while junior pitcher Cameron Brown pitched a complete-game shutout in the second game as the MACU baseball team completed the four-game sweep with a pair of 16-8, 7-0 victories over Houston-Victoria at Riverside Park on Saturday afternoon.

  • Cole Fuecker led the MACU bats with four RBIs after going 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of walks to go with a run scored.
  • Tylor Richey nabbed a pair of bases after batting 2-for-4 with a walk, a pair of RBIs and two runs.
  • Isaac Baez earned his second win of the season after tossing five innings and allowing five runs, four earned on seven hits, no walks and five strikeouts.

  • The Evangels are on their best ever start to a season in the NAIA Era with their seventh-straight win. MACU's previous best start came in 2021 when the Evangels opened the season by winning the first four games with a pair of wins over Dallas Christian and Central Baptist to start the year.
