Sophomore outfielder Noel McGarry-Doyle hit through the cycle in game one while junior pitcher Cameron Brown pitched a complete-game shutout in the second game as the MACU baseball team completed the four-game sweep with a pair of 16-8, 7-0 victories over Houston-Victoria at Riverside Park on Saturday afternoon.

• Mid-America Christian scored its 16 runs on 16 hits and committed a pair of errors while Houston-Victoria scored its eight runs on 11 hits with one error.

• Yan Ely Adames cranked his second home run of the season and the 24th in his MACU career in the second inning as he now sits just three back of Jerry McNew for the program's career record.
• Cole Fuecker led the MACU bats with four RBIs after going 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of walks to go with a run scored.
• Tylor Richey nabbed a pair of bases after batting 2-for-4 with a walk, a pair of RBIs and two runs.
• Isaac Baez earned his second win of the season after tossing five innings and allowing five runs, four earned on seven hits, no walks and five strikeouts.
• Houston-Victoria scored all eight of its runs on four separate home runs.

• Noel McGarry-Doyle hit homers in back-to-back games, slashing 1-for-4 with a pair driven in.
• By getting the victory, Mid-America Christian improved to 7-1 all-time against Houston-Victoria while sweeping the Jaguars for the first time ever.
• The Evangels are on their best ever start to a season in the NAIA Era with their seventh-straight win. MACU's previous best start came in 2021 when the Evangels opened the season by winning the first four games with a pair of wins over Dallas Christian and Central Baptist to start the year.
