Friday evening, the No. 17 ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (12-1, 6-1 SAC) returned from winter break with a hard-fought 77-64 non-conference victory against Concordia University (7-6, 5-4 GPAC). 

The Drovers showed signs of rust early in the contest, trailing 16-6 midway through the opening quarter. However, USAO quickly turned things around and responded with a 12-0 run to take an 18-16 lead. Concordia scored a bucket in the closing seconds of the quarter and tied the score at 18 after 10 minutes of action. 

Science & Arts continued their momentum in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 26-15 to take a 44-33 lead into the break.

Following halftime, both teams traded baskets, with the Drovers narrowly outscoring the Bulldogs by a margin of 14-13. After three quarters of play, USAO held a 58-46 lead.

The fourth quarter was evenly matched once again, but the Drovers had built a large enough cushion to win without much resistance in the closing minutes.

At the conclusion of the game, the Drovers shot 31-62 (.500) from the field, and 8-23 (.348) from three-point range. In comparison, the Bulldogs went just 20-62 (.323) from the field, and 9-30 (.300) from deep.

The Drovers dominated the boards and held a 47-36 advantage in the rebounding battle. Concordia committed 24 turnovers, and Science & Arts fumbled the ball 25 times. 

Furthermore, Science & Arts was whistled for 21 fouls, while CUNE was only called for 12 infractions. USAO went 7-11 (.636) from the free-throw line, while Concordia went 15-21 (.714).

Per usual, the Drovers used a well-balanced attack to overwhelm the opponent's defense, with four different players scoring at least 14 points.

Zaria Dorsey (SR/Bronx, NY), Diaka Berete (SO/Toronto, Canada), and Lainey Morrow (SO/Bridge Creek, OK) each contributed 15 points in the win. Additionally, Dorsey and Morrow each recorded double-doubles. Dorsey added 11 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals, while Morrow collected 10 rebounds, five assists, and a pair of blocks. Berete hauled in five rebounds and dished out four assists.

Tonijah Fortune (SO/Oklahoma City, OK) was extremely efficient shooting the ball, scoring 14 points on 5-8 shooting from the field, including 4-6 from deep. Fortune also added a trio of rebounds and assists.

Brayanna Polk (SO/Del City, OK) contributed eight points, six rebounds, and four assists, followed by Trinitee Alexander (SO/Everman, TX) with six points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jessica Palmer (JR/Anadarko, OK) chipped in four points and four rebounds.
