University of Oklahoma Students Achieve Perfect Grade-point Average

Thirty-two students eligible to graduate in December from the University of Oklahoma maintained perfect 4.0 grade-point averages throughout their undergraduate careers at OU. Of the total, 23 are from Oklahoma.

To commemorate their achievement, the students were honored by OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. in a ceremony held today on campus. Each student who earned an overall 4.0 GPA received a bronze medallion on a crimson ribbon, which may be worn during graduation ceremonies.

The December 2022 graduation candidates from Oklahoma being recognized include:

  • ARDMORE: Tyson S. Harris, computer science
  • BROKEN ARROW: Isha J. Patel, psychology
  • EDMOND: Delaney M. Barghols, community health; Yadin G. Joseph, chemical biosciences; Kasra O. Lessani, biology; Casey M. Minnick, psychology; Priya M. Patel, biochemistry; Kian R. Steppe, human health and biology
  • ELK CITY: Luke Kerr, environmental design
  • JENKS: Vail A. Freed, health and exercise science
  • MIAMI: Elise M. Siler, art
  • MUSTANG: Amanda L. Owens, human health and biology
  • NOBLE: Taylor McKinney, accounting
  • NORMAN: Monica O. Ahedor, biology; Sheridan M. Grunsted, health and exercise science; Mikayla Martin, public relations
  • OKLAHOMA CITY: Jamie Dewbre, accounting and management information systems; Sean P. McDaniel, psychology; Hein T. Nguyen, management and information systems, and sports management; Loc T. Vu, electrical and computer engineering; Christopher Wooden, organizational leadership
  • SEMINOLE: Zachary B. Perry, biology
