- While WBU has struggled offensively, netting just 11 goals in SAC play, the Pioneers feature one of the strongest defenses in the conference, allowing just 11 goals in nine SAC matches.
- Spearheading the Pioneers defense is sophomore goalkeeper Kanade Morita, who is posting a 1.60 goals allowed averages and has tallied the third-most saves in the conference at 77 on the fourth-best save percentage (.762).
- In their regular season meeting at the Dill Soccer Field on Sept. 27, the Evangels outplayed the Pioneers by holding a 24-9 shot differential. However, MACU struggled to put shots on-frame by holding just a 5-2 shots on-goal advantage as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw to open SAC play.
