Thursday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (5-2, 0-0 SAC) earned their fifth win in the last six games, with a 4-0 triumph at Our Lady of the Lake University (2-2-1, 0-0 RRAC). Over the last six games, the Drovers have outscored their opponents 21-5.
The Drovers immediately took the lead on Angelo Leendertse (JR/Dordrecht, Netherlands)'s goal in the third minute of play. The goal was the midfielder's fourth of the season so far.
Justin Croke (JR/Waterford, Ireland) tallied his sixth goal of the season on a free-kick in the 32nd minute. Less than four minutes later, Gideon Bossman (SR/Wiamose, Ghana) scored his first of the season, off an assist from Lamine Abdi (FR/Bour le Reine, France).
The Drovers managed to take their 3-0 lead into halftime.
Following the break, the Drovers extended their lead to 4-0 on Darko Borisavljevic (SO/Cacak, Serbia)'s first goal of the season, scored in the 74th minute of regulation.
The Drovers offensive attack was impressive, tallying 18 shot attempts, nine of which went on target. The Saints attempted 12 shots, with five being on goal.
Nathan Fitch (SR/Norwich, England) started the game for the Drovers and improved his record to 5-2, as he made a pair of saves in the shutout. Niels de Joode (FR/Rotterdam, Netherlands) relieved Fitch at halftime and made three saves in the final 45 minutes of play.
