University Of Science & Arts Of Oklahoma Drovers Display Dominant Defense in Road-Victory at OLLU

Thursday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (5-1, 0-0 SAC) extended their win-streak to five with a 2-0 victory at Our Lady of the Lake University (0-3-1, 0-0 RRAC). During the win-streak, the Drovers have outscored opponents 23-3.

Science & Arts got off to a good start, taking a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, on Kyleigh Fort (FR/Yukon, OK)'s second goal of the season, assisted by Emma Rice (SR/Norman, OK). The score remained 1-0 for the rest of the first half.

Following the break, the USAO lead stayed at 1-0 until the 87th minute when Alicia Rey (SO/Valladolid, Spain) struck for her seventh goal of the season, off an assist from Sydney Arneson (SR/Edmond, OK). The Drovers held off the Saints attack in the closing minutes to wrap up the shutout.

As a team, the Drovers attempted 13 shots, with seven being on target, while holding the Saints to only four shot attempts, only two of which were on target.

The reigning SAC Defensive Player of the Week, Caitlin Bishop (SO/Trophy Club, TX), was stellar between the pipes for USAO, stopping both shots that came her way. Bishop improved her record to 4-1 this season.
