Cost of college went up for all students at Mid-America Christian University

Tuition and fees rose 9.9 percent for 2018-19 at Mid-America Christian University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oklahoma students paid $19,604 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,774 more than the $17,830 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 76 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1 million and 43 students took out student loans totaling more than $333,271.

Including all undergraduates (1,938), 1,102 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.2 million, and 1,167 students took out $10.2 million in federal student loans.
